ABP Newport Half Marathon Fundraiser

On Sunday 13th April Tanya Sinnett will be taking on the ABP Newport Half Marathon to raise money and awareness for NTM Patient Care UK. Starting at Newport’s riverfront the challenging 13.1 mile route will see her pass some of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

"I've had NTM (non tuberculous mycobacteria) lung disease for about nine years. A while back I took the big three antibiotics for a year which worked a treat but it's returned. The worst symptoms for me are the debilitating cough and fatigue but life is good and I'm looking forward to training for the half marathon. I have osteoporosis in my spine and have been advised not to run so intend to walk as fast as I can (with a little bit of jogging) and hope to complete in as close to three hours as possible - will have to walk at over four miles an hour. Feel very excited to be fundraising again for this amazing charity!"
